Sources of Personal Information

5. How We Use Personal Information

6. How We Disclose and Sell Personal Information

Marketing Partners

We sell and share Personal Information with third-party companies that market home internet, wireless, TV, home security, and related home services and offers ("Marketing Partners"). Marketing Partners may use your information to contact you as permitted by the consent you gave us. We may receive payment for this information. Each Marketing Partner uses your information under its own privacy policy, and you may need to contact a Marketing Partner directly to opt out of its communications (see Section 8).

Providers and Their Authorized Retailers

We share your information with internet, wireless, and other service providers and their authorized retailers and representatives so they can confirm availability and pricing at your address and complete a purchase you request.

Service Providers

We use service providers that process information on our behalf, such as website hosting and content delivery (including location estimates from your IP address), call tracking and telephony, SMS and email, customer relationship management, consent certification, data verification, fraud prevention, and analytics. They may use Personal Information only to provide services to us.

Affiliates and Publishers

We share limited attribution information (such as whether a visit resulted in a call or request, and the related click or transaction identifiers) with the affiliates and publishers that referred you, so that they can be credited and paid.

Business Transfers

Personal Information may be transferred as part of a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, bankruptcy, or sale of all or part of our business or assets.

Legal, Safety, and Compliance

We may disclose Personal Information to comply with law, subpoenas, or other legal process; to enforce our agreements; to respond to claims; to protect the rights, property, or safety of Company, our users, or others; and to demonstrate the validity of your consent, including to Marketing Partners, carriers, and courts.

7. Sale and Sharing of Personal Information; Your Right to Opt Out

Under California and other state privacy laws, providing Personal Information to Marketing Partners for their own marketing is a "sale," and disclosing it for cross-context behavioral advertising may be "sharing." In the past twelve (12) months we may have sold or shared the following categories of Personal Information:

Category sold or sharedCategories of recipients
Identifiers and contact information (name, email address, phone number, ZIP code)Marketing Partners; providers and their authorized retailers
Approximate location (state, county, ZIP code)Marketing Partners; providers and their authorized retailers
Consent and compliance recordsMarketing Partners; providers and their authorized retailers
Preferences and inferences (providers and services of interest)Marketing Partners
Marketing and attribution dataMarketing Partners; affiliates and publishers

We do not sell or share Sensitive Personal Information, and we do not knowingly sell or share Personal Information of consumers under sixteen (16).

How to opt out. You may direct us not to sell or share your Personal Information at any time by:

Opting out stops future sales and sharing. It does not undo disclosures made before your request, and it does not by itself stop communications from Marketing Partners that already received your information — to stop those, use the options in Section 8. We will not ask you to create an account to opt out, and we will not discriminate against you for opting out.

8. Calls, Text Messages, Email, and How to Stop Them

If you consent, we and the companies named in the consent you gave may contact you by calls and text messages that may use an automatic telephone dialing system or an artificial, prerecorded, or AI-generated voice, and by email. Consent is not a condition of any purchase. Message frequency varies, and message and data rates may apply. Calls to and from the numbers shown on the Service may be recorded and monitored for quality, training, and compliance.

We honor opt-out requests within the time required by law and pass opt-out requests we receive to Marketing Partners that received your information from us. Each Marketing Partner is responsible for its own communications, so you may also need to opt out directly with a Marketing Partner. We may still send transactional messages related to a request or purchase you made.

9. Cookies, Location Estimates, and Call Tracking

We and our service providers use cookies, scripts, and similar technologies to operate the Service. These include a random visitor identifier, a cookie that remembers a ZIP code you enter, and technology that assigns a call-tracking phone number to your visit so we can credit the affiliate or publisher that referred you. Our hosting provider estimates your general location from your IP address so we can show providers for your area; this estimate can be wrong, and you can change it by entering a ZIP code. You can control cookies through your browser settings; some features may not work without them.

10. How Long We Keep Personal Information

We keep Personal Information for as long as needed for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, generally up to three (3) years after your last interaction with us, and longer where needed to comply with law, resolve disputes, or enforce our agreements. We keep consent records, opt-out records, and Do Not Call requests for at least five (5) years, and suppression records as long as needed to honor your request.

11. Data Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect Personal Information. No system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee the security of information transmitted to us.

12. Your State Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live (including California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Maryland, Minnesota, Montana, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Oregon, Rhode Island, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, and Virginia), you may have the right to:

How to make a request. Email [email protected] with the type of request and the phone number or email address you gave us. We will verify your request by matching that information and may ask for more information to confirm your identity. You may use an authorized agent; we may require proof of the agent's authority and ask you to confirm your identity directly. We respond within forty-five (45) days, which may be extended as permitted by law.

13. Users Outside the United States

The Service is intended for residents of the United States. If you access it from elsewhere, your information will be processed in the United States, where data protection laws may differ from those in your country.

14. Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last Updated" date above shows when it was last changed. If we make material changes, we will post the updated policy on this page. Changes apply to information collected after the change is posted.
